Resident Agent Services

Many people work from home, and don’t want to have their address listed publicly. This is why Registered Agents exist. For $45 a year, you can use our address (with a signed contract) and we will receive mail from LARA on your behalf and scan it to you. This address will also be used if, for any reason, you are being summoned to court. We will receive said summons on your behalf. By contract, you must comply with the summons.

How It Works

We offer mobile notary services that come to you, at your convenience. Whether it's at your home, office, hospital or any other location, we can help you get your documents notarized quickly and easily.

Mail that may still go to the original house

  • USPS Marketing Mail and Standard Mail. Also known as "junk mail," this category is generally not forwarded by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).
  • Mail to "Current Resident" or "Occupant." Since these mail pieces are not addressed to a specific person, they will not be forwarded.
  • Mail from senders unaware of the change. Your mail forwarding order only directs the USPS to reroute your parent's mail. It does not update the address on file for every sender, such as banks, utilities, and doctors.
  • Mail from senders who block forwarding. Some companies may use special endorsements on their mail to instruct the USPS not to forward it. In these cases, the mail may be returned to the sender with the new address, but it will not be forwarded automatically.
  • Packages requiring special postage. Items sent via Media Mail or USPS Retail Ground are forwarded, but the new recipient must pay the postage from the local post office to the new address. If this postage is not paid, the package will not be forwarded.
  • Accountable mail. Certain mail, such as Registered Mail, requires a signature upon delivery. For this, the recipient is required to go to the local post office that serves the CMRA to accept it.

Steps to take for reliable mail delivery

  • Inform key senders directly. After initiating the mail forwarding, you should contact important senders like financial institutions, government agencies (such as Social Security), and healthcare providers directly to change the address on their records.
  • Check the physical mailbox regularly. For at least a few months after the change, you should monitor your parents old mailbox for any items that were not forwarded.
  • Use the USPS "Informed Delivery" service. With your parents consent, you can use this free service to receive daily email notifications showing scanned images of the mail arriving at the original address. This helps you track any items that slip through the forwarding process.
